Since a longer time, Eugenics is an interesting field for me to read about ideas and their authors. Eugenics can be put in a direct line with Euthanasia, a phenomenon on the way to get legalized in several "Western countries". As a strong believer in faith, I am of course opposed to euthanasia and to every form of the so called individuals "right to death". It doesn't fit. You do not have the right to live, you just live and you do not have the right to die, you just die. But people and some reknown scientists since maybe 200 years, took the decision to change this opinion. They started the eugenics movement, a social philosophy, which has its roots in the liberal French Revolution and their following years. Wikipedia says:

The purported goals have variously been to create healthier, more intelligent people, save society's resources, and lessen human suffering.

Brilliant, this statement :-). The commonly described founder has been Francis Galton, the half-cousin of Charles Darwin (whom I will depict in later articles). Since 1865 Galton investigated in how to improve human genetic qualities by trying to erradicate genetic defects based upon science.

I must ask: what a "science" is this one? Can we erradicate genetic defects anyway?

The answer must be NO. We can't. Genetic defects are proofs of the diversity of human creatures and our Creatures will. The people who are inflicted, but even more the people surrounded, their life get changed dramatically (I know). Parents receiving a son or daughter with horrible genetic defects will have a different life forever. But from numerous sources, we know, most parents love their kids despite the defects. Their love might be even deeper. Their lifes change dramatically, but in most cases, they change for good. That is the positive stand.

Watch into the connections of eugenics, euthanasia and the Nazi Regime. They are close by! Today, in relevant books there are still mentioned several "scientists", who advocated for the "cleansing of unuseful elements" during the Nazi Regime, like Alfred Hoche or Karl Binding. In effect, the Nazis established the T 4 Action, a programm to eliminate persons suffering from mental diseases, making the hospital beds free for wounded soldiers during World War II. Under the T 4 Action, around 100 thousand people were killed, almost all the families not agreeing with the killing of their beloved.

That kind of eugenics has been declared "negative eugenics" by the scientist World. What is "positive eugenics"? It is euthanasia, the so called individual aim to die. Don't get fooled. When someone tries to say, that during Nazi Regime it was the State's will to kill undesired elements and nowadays it is the desire of every individual, I'll like to ask you seriously: Who is behind? Isn't it politics (the State) who support this ideology?

So then, where is the difference between T 4 and today euthanasia?

Since I'm travelling a lot to México, I'd like to give you some recommendations on my experiences in US airlines. There are of course direct connections between Europe and México, but for European travellers who can apply under the "Visa Waiver programm", the cheapest way is with a connection flight in the US or maybe Toronto/Canada. A few days ago, the low-cost carrier "Air Madrid" went in bankruptcy. So, bye bye Madrid. No more alternative! Lufthansa, Iberia, British Airways, KLM, Alitalia or Air France are too heavy in their price, so what do I do? I take a stop in my beloved United States. What I like to inform the open-ear-audience are the different treatments and services, you might receive. Have a look:

Atlantic Southeast Airlines is flying under Delta Alliance and sought to be an alternative to get to Western Mexico (Guadalajara) last time. Following a Delta flight to Atlanta, I wasted three additional hours on Atlanta International Airport because of weather? traffic? who knows.... to get to the conclusion, that I have already waited 6 hours, plus 3 more, THAT'S ENOUGH! A good friend from Belgium a few days later made the horrific experience to wait 5 additional hours for check-in. By the way, the plane was so small, I had to walk the corridor like a monkey to get to my seat. Mexican cities served are La Paz, Loreto, Los Cabos, Torreón, Manzanillo, León, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Cozumel, Culiacán, Mazatlán, Hermosillo, Mérida and Zacatecas.

ATA (American Trans Air) Airlines is a low-cost carrier with almost unbeaten prices. An example: From New York to Dallas for less than 100 bucks. That's $$$ for my eyes. In the plane there was limited service and a chaos after a stop-over, because seat numbers were given twice or triple, but after some confusion, I said to myself: Doesn't matter! The price rules! Mexican cities served are Cancún and Guadalajara.

United Airlines is one of the biggest airlines on this planet. Myself I can add, they are good, offering a nice service and the staff is friendly. Mexican cities served are Los Cabos, México City, Cancún, Cozumel, Ixtapa and Puerto Vallarta, all of them principal US-American vacation destinies.

American Airlines had big money losses after the attacks in September 2001, but in my opinion, this airlines is quite good in its service. Mexican cities served are Los Cabos, México City, León, Acapulco, Ixtapa, Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta, Monterrey, Cancún and Cozumel.

Delta Air Lines service is fairly. I have used Delta on several occassions and I do not get convinced! :-( Mexican cities served are Los Cabos, México City, Acapulco, Ixtapa, Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta, Cancún and Cozumel. Nothing new!

Merry Christmas!

Hoy atendí por primera vez a la única misa de lengua española que se celebra en mi chiquito país :-). Me gustó un friego, el Padre Guillermo es peruano, estuvieron como cien personas en la capilla del convento de las Hermanas Franciscanas, en su mayoría españoles y pocos latinoamericanos, muchos muchos niños y jóvenes. El Padre bendijo a los mexicanos presentes (como 8 eran) y nos estuvo conversando de la Virgen de Guadalupe, Patrona de las Américas y México en especial. Chequen las dos primeras hojas de la misa (cuales me lleve jeje). Viva México!
